Best mod for my zj so far.

It's been done before, I know, nabbed it from a 2wd zj in the junkyard. But no more annoying beeping, no more people asking whats wrong when it beeps. And the storage is pretty convenient. It's a definite win for me! And yeah, that's like 6 bucks cold hard cash...

Yup! Mine keeps telling my I'm out of coolant (full) and my brake lights are out (working). I'll get to troubleshooting it when I have all the mechanical issues on mine worked out. Nice mod!

They aren't that hard to fix.

The cubby is nice if you can find one though.

Love mine!

Thinking about putting my CB in there, though, like how Cameleer had his.

I've got the wonderful GDM and the only thing it has done is lit up the four tires, which with a 249, is all the time

The best mod done to my jeeps was hacking "aux in" ports into the radios.

The cubby is just that, a cubby. You have to get them off 2wd or early low end models. Anything else has the GDM or eVIC

Yeah I think this unit was a fail from jeep. If they have made it with better quality it would have been nice, but I haven't missed it at all

Not all the 2WD have the cubby. Mine is 2WD and has a perfectly functioning VIC. If the light is right you can see the unused 4WD indicators.

mine is a 98 limited 2wd and i have no cubby either. my vic works fine though. i have a cup where the 4x4 shifter is instead of where the vic is. since it seems just like a 4x4 console, i guess dodge had to put something in that slot

Later 2wd models got VIC's to fit the "luxury SUV" image.
