best chip for improving fuel mileage

hi guys i'm trying to improving the fuel mileage in my zj.
In your opinion wich is the best chip for this kind of use (superchips, jet or what)?
If it matters my zj is a 98 limited 5.2, with no cat, wires mopar perf, igk plugs, cap and rotor accel, k&n panel filter in the stock box. In these days i was thinking to putting a magnaflow cat and a new dynomax exhaust.
thanks for your time, and as usual sorry for my english

Put a cat back on it.

Sct seems to work well for many.

If you are just looking to save money, do an lpg conversion.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.

I recommend a Honda Civic chip.

[EDIT]: Sorry, I meant Fiat.

Aside from replacing the cat, keeping the engine tuned, and driving with a light foot there is nothing you can do that will improve mileage enough to make it worth the time and money spent.

This is true. Best mileage I get is when it sits in my garage.

A buddy of mine had a Dakota R/T with the 5.9L and ran the Superchip in it. He liked it, but did not get much of an MPG gain. And for the price of the tuner, it will take you a very long time to notice any returns on the investment of it. I think he got somewhere in the range of a 1-3 MPG gain.

Best thing you can really do is to fix your exhaust, and keep it tuned up.

1995 ZJ 5.2L V8 318. 230,000 miles and still rollin.

List of parts not replaced yet:

He might see a benefit. We don't pay ten dollars per gallon over here yet.

Fix your exhaust. It is killing your mileage right now.

All ZJ chips are junk.
