Over in the paint and body forum there was a huge thread with pictures of monstaliner. I was just looking at it last week and now I can't find it. Take a look there, maybe you'll find something of use.

I've been thinking about doing this too, though I've heard the floor gets reaaally hot.

This is what I'm dealing with... Notice the yellow sections on the pan.. its some type of insulation looks like tar and is stuck to the metal. Also for anyone that has had the ac leak on the floor. Check under the seat. I had no clue it was wet under there and it rusted so bad I'm afraid to have anyone sit there. Anyone else had this happen?

Now this may be crazy logic, but isn't that "tar" stuff the heat insulation? if so you probably shouldn't scrape that "tar"

yeah im figuring that's what it is but didn't find anything about it in the bed liner threads so didn't know how the bed liner would adhere to it.

when i bed line my zj i plan on also buying floor mats so that the bed line doesn't take constant foot friction. that could keep the insulation patch from rubbing.

It's holding up very well. There's a spot in the rear cargo area where it took a pointed edge from my jack and broke through the liner and dug up some of the tar. Not the liners fault the tar is just soft.
