BB noises

I have recently installed a 2" bb on my 96 gcl and have noticed a loud clunk from the rear of the vehicle. the kit did come with shocks so i know its not because there to short but yet thats what it sounds like, that there isnt enough extension. is it possible to install the shocks the wrong way meaning upside down or not. i read that a possiblity could be that the shocks are not bolted in tight enough. it sounds like the noise only comes from the right side. would track bar or sway bar cause this problem?

also on the front it sounds like i may have a u joint binding as i cant think of anything else it could be. the noise seems to come and go and sounds like a tinking sound sort of hard to describe sometimes faint and other times fairly noisy. perhaps a tc drop if so would 1/2" do or go with a 1" drop.

Recheck every single nut/bolt you touched and torque to specs. I had to do this and found a lower control arm bolt that needed a little extra twirling attention. the ugly clunk went away.

turns out the shocks were installed wrong. who would have thought you could install shocks upside down, the loud clunking has dissapeared.
