battery wires

this morning i went out to start my car and its like 19 degrees out right now and my car wouldnt start. my keyless entry worked tho but it just wouldnt start and when i took the key out NO ligths inside the jeep didnt work so i ckecked the battery and wiggle the wires a few times and then it started. i just went thru this a couple of weeks ago and moved the wires up and tighten them up and they are loose again. what could possibly making the wires loosen up? Should i go get new wires for it?

Hot and cold, metal expands and contracts.

Your battery clamps are probably from 97. I would cut them off and get some ends from Autozone. 2 bucks.

Orrrr....if you like spending money, I'm sure the stealership would just love to sell you a new harness for a couple c-notes Battery cables aren't separate, they're tied together and routed all over hell and creation.

I agree with Jim....the clamps are your best bet. On my 97 ZJ I replaced the entire harness...$170. Of course I did it just to do it, not because I had to.

On my XJ, I replaced the terminals...$6. I like option 2.
