Bar pin eliminator specs

Was given some shocks for my zj that will fit my budget boost better. The only problem is they aren't bar pin shocks.

I've got some 1/8th and some 1/4 steel here. I can bend the 1/8th within my shop, but the 1/4 will require me to find someone to do it.

My question is will 1/8th steel hold up? Or do I need to wait and get the 1/4 steel bent for my zj. All I'm going to do is take the plate and put two bends in it and drill holes. It will be about 4 inches by 2 inches. I've seen a few bpes that are 1/8th but none that are resold and it kinda has me leery of doing it.

Thanks in advance.

I'm confused why you need to bend anything, can you not just put a hole in two pieces of plate and weld them on?

I guess that's a good reason. actually the 1/8 steel L's should be plenty strong, the forces are only the shock compression itself.
The illustration above looks to be nothing more than 1/8" only it's welded rather than bolted, you'll be fine.
3/16 would certainly do it and 1/4 is overkill.

Close, 3/8" on what I did.

And they have force exerted on them in both directions (not just compression) but 1/8" would probably be ok considering they're mounted to sheet metal with the factory mounts

Thanks. I'm not gonna be rock bouncing in it so ill try the 1/8th. If it starts to warp or bend, we will beef it up
