axles in a gc

i am wondering what type of axles can be found in gc's for what years etc. I am tired of worrying about having to break an axle so i am looking for something with at least a 44 in the rear. i plan on putting at least 35's on within a year but i want to know if i'm gonna need to swap an axle out or not.

I believe that you're going to need to find a 1998 ZJ with a V8. These are the only ZJ's equipped with at least a D44 rear axle.

All Grand Cherokees have a Dana 30 up front.

Rear axles:
93-95 Dana 35
96 and up (ZJs and WJs) Dana 35 if it's a 4.0L/ Dana 44 if its a V8

The Grand Cherokee 44's have an aluminum center-section, also.
