awd 4 low hook up 5.2l

hey guys, i got a swapped wrangler with a 5.2 and the 36rh tranny. And as of right now its only full time all wheel drive. Where would i hook up the linkage to the transfer case to get normal and then 4lo? i looked but i didnt see a hook up, if possible pics would be great. also if any of you know would a grand cherokee linkage hook up to my wrangler handle. thanks guys

So if I were to get a Zj linkage do you think itd hook right up to my wrangler's 4wd handle? Running a 3in body lift

Did you swap the whole eng/46rh/transfer case in? If so then you only have 4wd, Neutral, and 4lo. No 2wd

i dont think it would work. i would try to find a wrangler linkage or i think novak makes a cable shift kit, which would be an even better option.

Ok, so a wrangler one would bolt onto the tcase lever? And the Novak, I would get one matching the tcase and it should hook up to the wrangler? Btw I took a look today, found the lever very easily thanks to that picture, thanks again for that.

ugh. 3" body lift......

no stock linkage you will have available will work with that set up. get a novak...and get rid of that case for a 231....there's a sticky thread with all you need to know to successfully swap in a different case. hope you know the year the v8 came from.

if by "normal" you mean 2wd, you don't have that with that case. only all wheel drive(and if it was an early grand cherokee that has the 46 rh) a non locking 4lo mode.

Ok get a novak matching the tcase and the other end will bolt to my handle? And ya I looked at that but right now it's up for sale and a guy looking at it wanted to know how he could go about hooking up 4low, it's from a 1995

And no I got the 46rh and I mean awd as normal and then 4low

have you looked at the novak systems?
novak-adapt.com

they do not make a system for the 249 though, no one does. you'd have to make a home brew with that kind of design for the 249. it would be best to swap in a 231 behind that combo to get proper functionality for the wrangler back.

Ok, me personally I don't mind just having awd, but the possible buyer guy was wondering how you'd hook it up if he wanted to.
