Anyone tried this yet?

Went to my local JY. Got some V8 front coils for my lift and 2 pairs of front hooks. Noticed a blazer 4x4 with a tire carrier. Curious if anyone has tried this yet?

It would rip the sheet metal and fall right off. The blazer has considerable bracing behind the body to hold that up. You couldn't just bolt that to a ZJ.

So if I make a plate for it to hang on to then it might work? Hmmm. Makes me want to do it now.

There have been a few threads about swing out carriers from other SUVs and the thing is their is metal under their tail lights that you can use as a mounting point. Zj's do not have this. Some guys have made this work but there is some fabrication involved.
