Anyone have pics of 5 speed ZJ's interiors ?

hey guys, thinkin of swapping my jeep to a stick in the future when i get another DD, anybody got pics of the interior of a 5 speed ZJ , i think it would look wicked with the stick but anyone have pics ??

also anybody know what parts i need ? would it be better to get a donor jeep with a 5 speed, a XJ or maybe a rusted out YJ ......??

any pics of the interior would be great!!!..

woody did an ax-15 conversion in his, its in the gc faq section not sure if he had pictures but it does tell you what you need....its a pretty good write up

Woody and Charlie (anticrombie) both did it. Have a look at the FAQ, have a look at both of their galleries. Both took very good pics documenting what they went through.

No Charlie is using the AW-4, he doesn't like the clutch.

the aw-4 is the smaller one isnt it, im looking to do the ax-15 upgrade when i get another dd, how long did it take you woody?

The AW-4 is the asian auto that is used in XJ's that everyone wishes they would've used in ZJ's as well. It's far better than the 42RE.

It took me three weeks. I was working about 2 hours a night on it. I didn't have all the tools and parts I needed, so much of my time was waiting. Especially for the rear driveshaft.

I cannot find any pictures online. I'm thinking that imageshack dropped the links I had up here. My computer with the pics crashed last week, so if I can fix it, I might get my old pics back. Otherwise, give me a few days and I'll try to go out and take a few shots of mine.

You could PM me the link to the pics you want to verify and I can tell you if it's genuine.

AX-5 is the weak 5-speed used behind I-4's. Don't even think about this one.

oh ok i was alittle confused cause you said that he didnt like the clutchi thought you meant he personally didnt like how the clutch handled...i gotcha now sorry bout that woody...

i want to make it stick soo bad...there was a ax15 tranny at the junkyard i go to i almost bought it. i should have, ill think ill just wait til they go on sale for 40
