Antenna Problems

Hey all,

When I bought my Jeep ( 97 ZJ Laredo) the antenna was already snapped off. The thread is barely sticking out, but not enough to unscrew. I tried using a screw extractor, but nothing. Actually part of the extractor bit broke off in the thread.

So, I'm wondering what to do next. Is there a retailer who will sell me just that base part that I can stick a universal mast on? Or do I have to buy a whole new setup, with wires and the base?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here's a pic of the thread.

According to online pricing that assembly is not that expensive from the dealership.

Strange there's 2 threads from 2 different members with some of the same antenna problems. Not sure if the part numbers changed from 94-96 as in the below parts list to 97.

It's not that bad, I think I used the little curved piece to fit flush with the fender while using all new antenna parts, comes with wire, I think it's $20 at autozone or something like that.
