kinda back on topic, i just switched to synthtic and filled up. i had a long drive from Colorado to Michigan to decide what milage i was getting and so far its been about 17 on the hw going 80 about 21 going 65 but thats a little lower elivation and and alinment. then at 70% of the time wheeling (its all i do up here) about 13 average. so we will see how the synthetic changes. iv already felt a bitt of change in smothness, or maybe thats just me validating spending the extra for the good stuff. good luck.

i hate to mention this but i once owned a ford explorer, and on one of the forums a guy was atempting to get 30 mpg and got it. he ussed intake exost and computer chips. one thing he experimented with was adding asitone into his gass, clamed it worked but i love my jeep too much to try that out but perhaps a full aditive that they sell at an auto store.

I've heard of using acetone, but a Jeep will use gas no matter what, so I'm not going to fight her!

Woody, Just because Ryan thinks you are old, you are still coming to the May Badlands Woody Wheelin' run correct?! Wheel or Ban... wheel or ban!

In 88, I was 4 years old... so out of the tummy, not usin' the mother to eat, AND walkin' and talkin'.

plus I had my own car! Granted... it was two-feet drive and made of plastic, but still!

I'm not revealing what I was doing in 88, don't want to feel old again.

I will be wheelin' in May! I will be wheelin' this weekend, but am backtracking all my tranny conversion stuff for the moment as I am still awaiting parts. I'm itchig to get out so I'm going to take both of my boys and we're going to have a good time. I will post pics.

Back to topic, I've gotten as high as 26 mpg with my GC doing 67 down the freeway. There was no wind and it was a great drive. The way back was headwind all the way and I was happy to get 21 mpg. I usually get less mpg with premium and I normally throw a bottle of fuel injector cleaner every three tanks or so, it seems to make a difference.
