Almost normal...we will see.

In an effort to track down the mpg grimlan I have so far to date done these mods/adjustments. I replaced the rear end due to it about to explode...bought new tires..if you recall I bought some Perelli Scorpiona ATR'S and the weighed 43lbs and now I have BFG T/A and they are 29lbs. Now today I flushed the engine and (should I say that I put oil back in or can we assume that) changed the sparrk plugs and dropped the tranny pan and changed the filter and flushed it as well (man that stuff is messy). I had a magnet installed in the pan and it was fairly clean yet showed some darkness (metal). Then to top it off I replaced the ECU to the stock one and see if that will help. If I still continue to get 10.5 (I was at 9.1 when the rear end was done) then a friend will hook up some computer and read my injectors and such. Oh...I also have fixed the o2 sensor problem as well.
Other suggestions will be appreciated.

I know with the 4.7 I can get up to 20 or so, but I can also be in the low teens sometimes. Seems to happen when it's nice out and the windows are down, sunroof open, music blasting

Seems for some reason, I have gotten a few speeding tickets in the past under similar circumstances...

Maybe you should try the brick mod. You get a brick, and put it behind your gas pedal so you can only push it down about 1/2 way....I've heard this works wonders for mileage

Seriously though, driving style can have a lot to do with it. If you only drive around town with little to no highway driving and are a little heavy on the gas you're probably not going to do much better.

when I got the rear end done there was a break in period where I had to go easy....since then and still I do not hit the gas like I used to....typically I never go above the 2k mark on the tach.

I figured I would update this...I just noticed today that at times when I start and stop (short distances) and rarely on normal startup I have noticed some blue smoke from the exhaust and then it clears. Very little mind you. One time I swore I saw blue when I took off...but never again.
