Alarm and remote question

Ok, i have the factory dei remote start system on my 94 zj and my dad who works on jeeps 5 days of the week says that there is no way i can get a remote that works with the system and the original remote broke off the keyring. is there a remote i can use or was he right in saying that?

There was a "factory DEI" system in your jeep? Sorry if I don't know much about ZJ's other than my own, but I've never seen a factory DEI remote start. If it is actually DEI, pull up their website, you'll have to drop the aftermarket brain (or factory if it actually is) to find your model number...something like 771XV for example. They should have a remote available, and if it's factory it should even be easier for them.

Transmitter Replacements:
1-800-753-0600

Website:
www.directed.com OR www.directedstore.com (if you want replacement remotes and know some info on your system)
