Airbag expiry

I've just found out that the UK MOT test which a vehicle has to pass annually to stay on the road now incorporates new EU regulations relating to warning lights and air bags. If airbags are expired they beds replacing. I've read that some cars like Skoda say the bags expire after 14 years and others like Volvo say the bag is good for the life of the vehicle. Do you know if jeep airbags "expire"? Thanks. I have a 97 ZG.

Not true - the only wording in addition to making sure your airbag light works properly is:
"Supplementary restraints:
The vehicle will fail the test if any airbag fitted as original equipment is obviously missing or defective."

Which is less stringent than my state inspection.
All airbags must be in working order and not altered in any manner. Can't even paint the covers.

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.
