Air Intake

Ok got a odd question for ya, with the stock airbox there is a little nozzle on the front of it that looks really restrictive. So the question is can I remove it?

the only thing you will be doing by removing that is allowing more air to pass through the filter and into your engine, which can really only help you.

My 99 had one, the 02 HO didn't...

I'm going to do some data logging and see what my intake temps are. Right now I've just got a k&n round canister stuck to the side of the resonator box. Yeah, it's right over the valve cover, but I'm not convinced it makes THAT much of a difference while moving. I'll try to let you know.

On my 5.2 I had one, it just took it out. I think Haynes calls it an "Ambient Air Tube" or something to that effect.
