Air box removal

Building my own air intake. but how to I get around this stuff?

looks like some sort of zip tie. how do I remove it?






Looks like this hose goes into the intake manifold, so should i just drill a hole into the tubing and stick it into there?

Try squeezing the two tabs together with a pair of pliers as you push down on the "strap" with the teeth.

soak those airbox bolts down with a good penetrant oil. i had a hell of a time getting the airbox out of leigh anne's zj back in december when i had to change the alternator.

leigh anne's jeep- 1994 ZJ 4.0 I6 - 42RE - NP242 - D30 f - D35 r - 3.73 f&r. 235/75/15 on factory 5 spokes

robert's van- 2000 Astro 4.3 V6 - 4L60E - 3.42 10bolt

The hose can be pulled and replaced with a breather on the valve cover.
