Air box removal

Building my own air intake. but how to I get around this stuff?

looks like some sort of zip tie. how do I remove it?

Looks like this hose goes into the intake manifold, so should i just drill a hole into the tubing and stick it into there?

Try squeezing the two tabs together with a pair of pliers as you push down on the "strap" with the teeth.

The hose can be pulled and replaced with a breather on the valve cover.
