Not sure, but I don't think it'd matter whether or not they had to order

I did ask them yesterday about the portage County club and they look it up easily found it. They also said it was platinum, haven't used it yet though just found out about the portage County club discount yesterday
advance won't honor online prices. Here either

I wonder what a "Platinum" discount is.

Wow, you're right! I priced a SS muffler online for my son's 96 XJ the last week of Jan. and it was $85. Then Feb 1st they raised it to $96. Just checked their site and it's now $107!

You can still use a 15% coupon code but that doesn't even cover the price increases they've had in the past 3-4 weeks.

Note: just checked Autozone and this exact same muffler (#21357) is $79.99. Believe I'll be doing some closer price comparisons if Advance is going to charge $27 more for the exact same thing.

Thanks, and I tried the RAF coupon code and it still applies at $35 off. Do you have to refer a friend somewhere along the way either online, or when picking up? May be a mute point.

I have a $50 off coupon code from my last $100 online purchase that I need to use within 4 days (Feb 24) on at least a $100 purchase. They issued these coupon codes via email on Jan 23 and only give you a month to use. I wonder if that's why they are raising prices now and will drop them next week?

Regardless, guess if you snooze you lose as far as prices go and I should have used the coupon code before now. Still nice having $50 off but would have rather used it at lower prices.

Yep your right,I confirmed the same thing the other day.
If you want a price match from ,say Rock Auto ,you have to call , and buy it on line, but you can pick up at store if they have it.

Thanks for the heads up.

Well I went on a shopping spree and coupon code ballistic today. My son needs a bunch of parts for his 96 XJ which he's going to pay me back for. The most difficult thing was trying to figure out how to split the part orders up to use the highest discount coupon codes. Ended up with 4 orders and the prices, codes, discounts, totals can be seen below.

- Walker SS Cat: $159.99 ("VISA")-$50= $109.99, total w/tax - $117.14

- Walker SS Muffler: $106.99 (CCABIN)-$40= $66.99, total/tax - $71.34

- Exhaust pipe, 5 clamps, fuel filter: $87.43 (BIG30)-$35, total - $55.84

- Rad, thermo/gask: $125.26, (CCABIN)-$40=$85.26, total/tax - $91.02

Total price of all parts was $479.67. Total coupon code discounts were $165. Price less discounts is $314.67. Total price w/tax is $335.34.

The same stores did not have all the parts in stock so I'm going on a 3 store parts run tomorrow. All are within 10 miles from me so well worth the $165 in savings!

Never could find a code that didn't work and thanks a bunch hdrocknroll!

BTW, last night I tried to place an online order and use my $50 off coupon code (expires in 2 days) from my last $100 purchase. Was trying to buy an "Actron Auto Scanner OBDII Code Reader-CP9575" which was on sale for $99.99 along with a fuel filter for $12.99 (total - $112.98).

The coupon code wouldn't take/apply because the scanner was already on sale. This morning before placing all the above orders I called support and talked them into pushing the coupon code through. Total w/taxes after $50 off was $67.23 and I'll be picking up those things tomorrow too!

Life is good.
