Adding Memory Seats?

If I were to upgrade to the Limited door panels, the drivers side panel has the memory seat buttons built in... Would there be a way to wire those buttons so they are functional on my Jeep? What else would I need to make it work?

My ZJ is a 1998 SE so I already have both power leather seats (non-heated).

Would it be a simple mod, or more complex?

Thanks
Mike

If you figure it out there's a few of us that would like to know how you did it. Also, if you figure out the heated seat option let me know.

Wow, man, too expensive I think. This system is connected not only to seats but also radio etc. It would need many components replacement and a lot o work. And think there would be a lot of work with electric connections (I mean setting it to work right.) Since this is not so needed gadget I would give it up.
But you can always check and letus know

I did add power heated seats to my 98 GC but not the memory function. Like he said above, the memory function gets waaay more complicated. To add the power seats just required fabricating the wiring to get 12V to the seats. Connecting the seat heaters was a little more complex in that you also have to add the heat switch module in the dash and fab all the wiring. On my 98 GC the plugs were not there just waiting to be plugged in, I had to run wire and figure out the connections. Still not too hard, took me an afternoon.

Hiram,
Which wire on the seat did you tap into to get the seat to work from the switch? I added the switch also, was praying it was just plug and play, no such luck

Which function?

Rich, I had no wires to tap into either. I ran a wire to 12V for the power seats, fused of course. For the seat heaters, I ran wires from the seats to the dash seat-heat control module and just had to figure out the pin-outs. Didn't document the wiring, sorry. But it was pretty easy to figure out. Works perfectly now.

You aren't married with a wife who's seven inches shorter than you. That's definately one feature I miss on the Buick we sold.

Haha yeah, thats an ongoing joke with my girlfriend and I because she recently bought a new car and lets me drive it all the time, but I never let her drive my Jeep (or anyone for that matter) too scared of something happening to her (My Jeep)

I guess I was looking to wire the memory seats though because whenever I take the Jeep to the mechanic or carwash, they always move the seat all over, and it's always a pain to get "my spot" back.

Exactly my point. Wife gets in and I hear her complaining about the it being cold. A warm a55 equals less complaining. Also, when she uses the Jeep I never ever ever have the seat in the correct position for myself. If I complain, lookout.....
