accidently rubbed off clear coat- fixable? - pics

hey guys, i did something dumb....

i recently had to tape my driver side window up on my 02 GC cause my window regulator broke, and after i fixed it i was trying to clean the tape off the top of the door brim, while i was cleaning it off it looked fine ( cause it was still wet ).. but when it dried its all discolored... i assume i rubbed the clear coat right off?

question is: is there any sort of spray specific to automobile paint to fix my dumb mistake?

here's a pic:

What kind of tape did you use ? what color is it suppose to be ? I find it hard to believe that you ripped the clear coat off with just tape

How did you clean it off?

I would use some of that orange hand cleaner on it.. It removes that stuff pretty well and not as abrasive as other chemicals.

here are some new pics... hope u can see it better, the part im talking about is alot lighter in color now,

if i were to wet it , it goes back to normal color for a moment, but when it dries, it goes back to the crapped up thing.

If the wax/rubbing compound dont work, you're gonna have to bring it to a autobody place...no point in making anymore of a mess out of it.
