I meant no fuss. I just found it funny that someone who has helped so many had such a small post number. Thank you for your work and effort in instructing us. It'll help me I'm sure.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

Zander, I'm bumping your thread bc I did my WJ intake install, all was good but I have a little problem.. I have no cruise control and my air blows on from the top of my vents. This is a sign of a vacuum leak.

Basically I was wondering, after your install did you have any problems? (loss of cruise control and air only blow from defrost)

I did fix it, but I technically now have a vacuum leak. In my thread (see link) It shows what I did to fix. Basically you know how we have 3 nipples on the side of the intake, you're not using one and neither am I so i capped it. Well that made me lose cruise control and my air settings. I pulled the cap off and now I have everyhting back to normal, but technically speaking I have a vacuum leak now.

How did you get yours to work w/o out any problems??

Can you post your vacuum lines and how you fixed them?

Here's my post http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/i...ctors-1396015/

Nope, after I installed the couplings for extending the lines and plugged everything in I had no problems at all....I read your post, how very odd...

I should put some better pics of the vacuum lines on here anyways I'll go take some pictures tomorrow to see if I can shed some light on the issue.

Thanks man.. Everything went well, jsut for some reason if I cap that nipple I lose my cruise and air settings. I leave that nipple unplugged I get my cruise back and my aire settings back, but then I have a vacuum leak.

Did you use any of your stock ports on the new intake, or use all the ports that came on the intake?

responded in your other thread.
but also double check that you have the check valve installed the correct direction. pull it out and put it in your mouth and SUCK IT! you will have flow through it pulling air through it towards the engine (on the engine side of the hose.)

Think I might have found the problem. That vac line that goes to the cruise is shared with another line on the same little opening. The other line goes to the evap canister. Brake vac line goes straight in as does the CCV and MAP sensor.

Well now I can't give you a number and honestly it doesn't drive much differently in normal flat conditions, but when u hit the pedal it picks up much better, and its very noticeably better maintaining speed up hills without downshifting. I don't think its downshifted up a hill since I put it on...and that by itself makes it worth it.

But I gotta say the exhaust and injector swap contribute as well...I doubt it would do much by itself

Yes, with the intake swap, header and injector swap the Jeep can easily accelerate. A lot less down shifting and can pick up speed quicker and more swiftly

Zander

If you look in my pic, the vac line coming from the canister from the front drivers side is going into the intake. It is going into the middle nipples. It runs parallel with the air intake hose. Get what I'm saying To the right of the blue cap

Mhm i see, but do you see how on mine it shares the nipple thing with the cruise line? Perhaps that has something to do with it, did you have on of those nipple things on your old manifold?
