99 front axle change

Is it pretty much the same process to replace the front cv axle on a 99 as it would be earlier years?

It has quadradrive and the varilock i believe.

Any clips hold it in or does it just slide out like the zjs?

I just did mine last month, they slide out. Caution for aftermarket cv boot kits - not all will slide back through the hub once reassembled. The Napa ones worked well, autozone were too big.
