98 zj with some problems

I know some of these problems might have been posted a lot but I didnít find the answer. I have a 1998 ZJ with a 4.0-liter engine

First problem is my cruise control stopped working. It started when I was driving down the road and it was just as if I hit the brake and turned it off. I would then reset it and it would be fine. Then it got to be when I would go to set it again it would not set at all. Finally the latest is the cruise light will come on with switch then turns off right away. This is very confusing to me since when the problem started the light would always come on. The next problem started about the same time as the cruse control issue. My transmission seems to slip but only between 55 to 65 MPH. It slips for less than a second and at regular speed it works just fine. It doesnít do it all the time but it is often. These problems started a couple years ago but I would like to fix them as soon as possible so any help would be much appreciated.

for the cruise control check the vacum lines and make sure you don't have a leak

I am also wondering if maybe one of your speed sensors is acting up and that is causing the problems
