98 ZJ 4.0 Absolute Throttle Position

Hi All,

Quick question to those with an OBD2 scan tool of any kind. With engine off or at idle what does your tool report for the absolute throttle position with no pressure on the accelerator?

Mine says about 20% which seems odd as I am not pushing on it at all?

I have a strange issue where the engine revs pretty high on turn on but does come down to idle at 750 rpm after a few mins so i was wondering if this has anything to do with it?

18 at idle. One test you can do... read the scanner while moving the throttle and see if it rests at the same reading every time the throttle is on the stop.
