What kind of oil and how much should I use???

i like to use Mobil 1 full synthetic or Castrol Syntec full synthetic on my 94 ZJ. 10W30 or 10W40, whatever you can get ahold of. just my .02

I run castrol high mileage, you will need 5 quarts

LOOK and Make sure to remove oil filter gasket if it is stuck on

10W30 any flavor. keep it changed regularly and you'll be fine.

I run Pennzoil or Quaker State 10W30 year-round at 5K intervals.
Sometimes I'll mix in some 15W40 that i get cheap off promotions.

oh yes, PLEASE check this. i didnt and had a horrible 5qt spill. and also had to go buy another gal of oil.. sucky day...good advice rockroll

Oil out the bottom. In the top. Filter is on the side.

Get a manual. You'll need it eventually. FSM is far superior to Haynes or chiltons

When I do my oil changes, I use 5.5 quarts. I put the 1/2 quart in the filter so that the system is not pumping dry to start with.

I also use Castrol Edge Syntech 10W30. I have had pretty good results with it.
