98 Grand Cherokee goes 150' then stalls.

My old mans 98 Grand Cherokee will start fine and then after a 150 feet or so will stall out. Any suggestions as to what it could be?

1.Fuel filter is new as of a few months back.
2. It will not start if the gas cap is off.
