98 5.9 limited front diff

what is the make of the front diff on a 98 5.9 limited. i seen somewhere its a dana 44 but it looks more like a dana 30. are the gears 3.73s

It is a dana 30. From what I remember it is a short dana 30 also. The gears are the same front and rear and I believe they are 3.92... It has been a few years since I have owned a Limited 5.9

The rear axle is a D44a, the front axle is a low pinion D30. The gears, if original, are 3.73...
