97' G C transmission starts off in 2nd or 3rd gear

87,000 miles, changed fluid (no difference ).
If I put the drive lever in the 1 or 2 position, it
takes off just fine. Could it be a sensor problem?
It's the same gear with the lever in the 1 or 2 position. Is a junkyard transmission better than a rebuild?

Just take the truck to a shop and get the transmission sensors changed, that's the problem I bet you that !!!
