96 ZJ ECU and harness into a 95 ZJ?

I have a 95 Grand 5.2 and would like to know or if someone has already tried and or done it, install a 96 ECU and wiring harness in a 95 Grand 5.2 and got it to work. I would like to be able to have an OBD plug so that I can put a tuner of some kind on it?

There were MAJOR changes from 95-96 electrically.
I suspect you would have to replace a lot more components (sensors, etc) than just the harness and ecu.....

you need: whole harness, computer, dash and to swap all the sensors off the old 95 for the newer 96-98 sensors. then you need to swap the transmission because the 46rh wont' work with obd2. those trannies are different, so you'll need new driveshafts as well.

so no, nobody has done it. because you look at the work, then just buy a 96 and up instead

To much invested

Isn't there a way to bypass alot of the (uneeded) crap to make it work primarily for the engine? I new a guy that put a 98 engine with the ECU and harness and stuck it in a 85 Wrangler. I can't get a hold of him to find out what he did but it runs great.
