'96 limited trade deal

There is a ZJ I drive by everyday. I happened to be on the lot back in '96 when this gal test drove it and bought it. The reason it stuck in my mind is cuz I've seen it around town all these years, and have always loved the color.
I stopped by the house back in November and proposed an offer of $5000. This is money I'd have from taxes when February rolled around. When taxes came, I found a '98 and bought it, which left the old gal hangin'. I stopped by and told her I didn't intend to buy her Jeep. Surprisingly, that's when I realized she was hoping I'd buy it. Days later, a shiny, new WJ took the ZJ's spot at the front door. BUT, the ZJ is still there.
My proposal to her now: Trade for an '02 Subaru Forester Sport/loaded (right down to the doublesized sunroof), and it's a 2.5 instead of a 5.2 $$mpg$$
The worst thing this Jeep has likely been through is too many groceries. It's got 185,000 miles, 5.2, aftermarket rims (that I actually like, that's rare),
The point is I'd rather have a third Jeep than a third vehicle I don't have any feelings for. Does this sound like a reasonable trade?

Subaru is probably worth more than the jeep (checked KBB), but hey it's worth how much ur willing to pay for it!

And do you know if she really wants another car vs money?

I'm really banking on the mpg being the bait. Value, you said it. I got hit in my XJ about a week ago. For the most part, it's ok. But she's gonna be a tire eatin' ***** until I get it fixed. I'd rather dedicate the XJ to trail duty. This new ZJ would take its place here.

Oh ya, the Subaru has 215,000. That's the bad side. But it runs great.
