96' Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

Hey everyone,

My name is Doug and I'm new to the forum, i recently crashed my Jeep into a telephone pole at 45 MPH (after being run off the road by a drunk driver) since then my jeep has never looked better! I replaced the water pump, radiator, oil cooler and MANY other parts from junk yard Jeeps, coustomized and welded together a front bumper and i'm hooked. I am a college student so i am looking for cheap ways to better my jeep as far as armor and off road features, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Thanks!

A little harsh, donít you think? My trip to the emergency room Via Helicopter was less than a story. I really don't appreciate being greeted like this, and just for future reference for other new users, this isnít the best way to start an impression of a forum, just my two senses. I am not quite sure how to post pictures to a thread yet so if someone could walk me through it I would be more than happy to post pictures, keep in mind that it is a limited and had the front toe system (solid steel bar) and steel skid plate behind the bumper, the Jeep pretty much just stopped when it hit but like you all are saying, it is pretty un imaginable that this is the extent of the damage for the speed, it was confirmed by the Police Department it was between 35 and 45, the last thing I remember was traveling at 55, so just use your imagination and whatever speed makes you happy, Iíll be more than happy to pretend you are right if that makes you feel better about yourself thanks!

we aren't trying to be harsh man, it's just a tad hard to believe that you hit a pole at 45mph and you did not total the jeep.

Pics are worth a 1000 words. Post some pics bro.

I dunno guys i hit a wooden stop sign last winter at like 10mph, and that thing flew away like a tooth pick and just cracked my plastic bumper cover... I imagine hitting a telephone pole at 45mph would be no diff.. lol

to post pics, read the faqs.

Or set up an online account at any online photo storage, i.e picasa, photobucket, flickr ... Then place the url with the photo button in your reply box. It's the one that looks like there's a mountain in it.

If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.
