96 gc shifting problem when cold

please can anyone help i am truly stuck my jeep when cold will shift from first to second but not third its like its in nuetral once it has warmed up it will shift thru the gears no problem i have tried new atf+4 and tried for fault codes but there are none, dave

how cold is cold? i had issues with my kickdown / TV cable freezing, could this possibly be it?

Hi sorry i should have said its when the jeep is cold ie first time starting it after about a mile or so run its fine when it cools down it will do it again, dave

96 gc shifting problem

Hi i have tried removeing the wire conecting to the rear speed sensor and this made no difference at all could this sensor be the cause ???
