96 - Fuel filter plastic clips

The fuel filter I tried to install does not have the plastic clips on it like the OEM one.

Where do I get new clips?

I prefer not to re-use the old ones but if I need to how do I get them off the old filter?

You can get new clips as part of the Dorman Help! range. Any auto parts store should carry them.

I think the specific Dorman part number you want is 800-016 (fuel line retaining clip assortment for GM/Chrysler), but double-check that.

I don't think that swapping old clips from the old to the new filter is recommended, because of the risk of the clips being weakened or damaged when you prise them off.
