95 ZJ Leaky Back hatch

Heyo,

:stupid back story and yammering:

Its coming up on the rainy wet winter months where im from and last year I had a serius moldy smell problem in my jeep that I could never pin down, I took out the head liner and (almost) everything. Recently it rained and I had a sleeping bag in the back of my jeep pressed up agaisnt the hatch and when I got home it was kinda damp and I felt the carpet under it and it was damp too. So I poped the hatch and saw a puddle of muddy water still standing at the top of the hatch in a little like divot that runs along the top of the hatch...Im wondering if this standing water is working its way into my (crappy) weather stripping and running down along into my carpet somehow.

:The meat of my problem:
I would like to start out by replacing my weather stripping for the back hatch, but havent had much luck finding anywhere that would sell it short of going to a dealership and asking which I havent done yet. Would anyone be able to reccomend a place that would carry such a thing, it looks like its a sort of specialty thing but I might be wrong. Also has anyone else had this problem, once it gets bad its pretty unbearable.

I'm also having this problem, OP does it look like the vent on the rim of the back hatch is leaking at all? That's where I believe my leak is coming from.

Im not sure about that, I just assumed that It was from the pool of water at the top working down along the crappy stripping, but it might be the side vents too...Ill check that out in a little bit, you really think thatd drain down into the carpet inside tho?

I've seen it come from that vent when it was raining, after I noticed the wet carpet underneath that area. I'm not going to say for sure my weather stripping isn't failing also, but that vent was leaking. I didn't know if anyone else had had leaking roof rack bolt holes or something causing this.

I origonally thought that it was coming from the roof rack holes too but I took out my head liner and it showed no signs of water damage and was for the most part pristine, this was the first time I narrowed it down to the back hatch region, usually when i wash it ill end up spraying water into the vents, are the vents easy to pop off do you know? Would have to take a look at the innards to determine how it could be letting water into the cab...would think they would design it sso that water didnt get in
