95 Rear Seal Repair

Ok, confirmed that the real seal needs replaced - was quote $500 to repair in the Denver area.

Curious if this is inline with other parts of the country - is this a good deal, too much etc.

Since the tranny needs to come out, what other seals, gaskets etc should be replaced at this point.

Thanks for any advice you can offer me!

Tranny doesnt need to come out if you do it yourself, just creative lifiting and patience.

At least a 4 hour job doing it yourself. Oil Pan gasket will be replaced. Some say replace your oil pump while your in there. Everyone has an opinion.

$500 is a little high but close.

Thanks for the reply - I'm a not an expert by no means but i have been told that this is a one piece seal that requires a full pull.

Your saying it doesnt need to be done?

Do you know where there are instructions, along with some pictures to walk thru this?

Although i am some what mechanical, not sure if I want to tackle this myself?
