95 LMTD Disable factory alarm?

Hello, my drivers side door sets off my alarm and I do not have a keyless remote. I was told there is a fuse you can pull to disable the factory alarm. This sucks because it will not let me start the vehicle. I do not need the alarm so please anyone if you could tell me what I can do that would be great. Because I'm stranded at the moment. Thanks

There are three fuses that control the alarm, #6,7 and 21 they are all blue 15 amps. When you open the passenger door they are on the side by the glove box. Just try pulling #6 and see if that does the trick. As far as I know it does not effect anything else. I'm still trying to get mine to work. Let me know what happens.

kinda solved

well I ended up disconnecting all the sensors, was the only way I could get the thing to start. I don't need the alarm anyway as It is my work beater for pulling so it's no big deal to me. At least it runs now woohoo...

i have a 93' GC laredo and i can't use my power locks because it sets the alarm off. i've been tryin to disconnect the alarm for 2 years but the dealership told me that there was no way to disconnect it, if you pull fuse #6 do the power locks still work? man i hope i can get this thing disconnected, thanks guys

Sounds like a rewire, I had a remote start and new security system put into my 95 GC. I was tired of it, period. I got something more reliable and now if I lock the truck from inside using the switch it arms the old security.

I have to use the trunk method to disarm it if I do.

I have been really lazy about trying to disable it, I am sure you can with some time.

Nothing is impossible
