94 ZJ gas tank; metal guard

I have been noticing some really loud clanking noises coming from the rear of my 94 JGC and I didnt' really know what it was at first I thought it was the axle then I realized it was the exhaust that was hitting this metal guard that goes over the right corner of the gas tank. Ever since I removed this part I havn't heard any loud clanking noises since. Is there any problem or concerns for taking this part off?

well either you have the wrong pipe if you you have replaced it .

the hangers may to long...


it may need to be tweaked into the correct position

some hangers or U-Bolts may be busted. pop your head down there and take a look.
