94 overhead console bulbs

What would be the bulb number on those square bulbs that clip in? They are the ones that have square holders that illuminate the step and us/metric buttons.

I replaced both recently after one went out. After searching for my receipt they are GE 73 standard miniature lamp, they are of the plug in type and can be a pain in the butt to get out!!!!.
The little square brown bulb holders don't come off easily so disassemble the button assembly off the center console, un-clip the plastic cover and pull the bulbs out of the brown holders from the face side.

Yes only bulb holders, leave them in!!! instead disassemble the cover off once you unscrew the button panel and use needle nose pliers to pull whats left of the bulb out, they will unplug with a simple pulling action providing you have a gentle grip on whats left and it don't break off, otherwise you'll be picking out whats left of the bulb remains. After that clean up, plug the replacement bulbs in and reassemble.

First, check the little black socket the bulbs are plugged into. The connector tabs are SOLDERED to the back of the PC board, and sometime break loose due to vibration. If loose soldering should fix the problem.

If the bulbs do not want to come out, find a fine drill bit, and drill a SMALL hole in the back of the socket, very carefully. When that is acomplished, use a tooth pick or the but end of your drill bit, and caredfully push the bulb out of the socket!! No broken glass!!
