i had the same problem and a new fuel pump cured EVERYTHING , my pump was getting to hot and the electric motor was shutting down , therefore killing my fuel pressure , let it sit for a bit, the motor would cool and it would fire back up ..

the new fuel pump was easy to install and it was totally worth the money spent.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

4.0L , 42RE transmission-- 242 selectable transfer case
Bone Stock with the acception of a K+N drop in filter and my aftermarket stereo, also did alot of new tune up wear and tear parts!
366 000 kilometers and stilll runs great :)
purchased for $125 bucks, amazing daily driver for the money

Like I said earlier check the pressure when it won't start, It's a real easy check.

will a 95 grand cherokee 5.2 ecu 110k miles work on my 94 grand cherokee 5.2 105k mile from what i understand there the same right.

I had a '93 with the 4.0 that did this. It was the crank sensor.
