93 ZJ wont idle

I have a 93 ZJ with 5.2 that sits around a lot. For some reason it decided it doesnt want to idle anymore. Runs great otherwise. Any idea what would cause this. There is no CEL or memory codes in the system.

Is the battery disconnected when it just sits?
If so it will have to relearn where the idle rpms should be and it fixes it self after a few miles.

If thats not the problem.
Does it idle fine after it has got up to temp?
Mine started with that wil not idle thing untill its warm after i had replaced the fuelpump in it.
Then i replaced almost every sensor on the engine trying to fix it but nothing worked so i assumed that the pcm was dead/dying.
After about 11 months the new pump started to act up so i replaced the fuelpump relay and everything went back to normal again...
It has idled without any problems for 4 weeks now.

Battery is always connected. It doenst change after warm up. It was always fine and one time last fall I took it for a drive and I noticed that it was having a hard time idling when I got to town. By the time I got home it would not idle at all. I just shut it off and went in the house. I have now used it twice since then and it will not idle at all anymore. I just dont like throwing parts at something and hoping it works.

Have you removed and cleaned the iac (Idle air controller) that sits on the throttlebody?

It could be a marginal battery, that happens with vehicles that sit around a lot. Try swapping it with another vehicle.

Havent had a chance to do anything with it yet.

It actually ran better with a completely dead battery that I had to jump start every time I wanted to move it than it does now with a good battery that will start it just fine.
