93 gc rear axle swap question

This maybe a dumb question but I thought I would ask . I have a 93 gc with the s6 and the d35 rearend with drums . I have read on here that 96 s and so on came with rotors . Is this a swap I would be able to do and what would be involved ( would it be the whole axle or just the shafts ) . I also tow a boat that weighs about 1000 lbs if that matters or should I just stick with the drums . The reason I ask if its the whole axle icause When I had my alignment don the told me that my rear was a hair bent which is causing excessive wear on one side . So my other question is should I go to the wrecking yard to get another axle or I have a local frame shop that computer aligns and can do rear axles . Im just afraid to go to the wrecking yard and the one that I pull Is slightly bent also . which do you recommend . The shop only charges 125 to 160 to align the rear axle

How do they plan to compensate for a bent axle?

from what he said is hook it up and bend it back . no heat . It is a frame shop not a back yard deal

I would just swap in a new axle. There is no way they would only charge $160 to R&R an axle plus try and bend it back to shape.

junkyard axle if yours is bent. for disc brakes, you can look at a 1994 limited model, or any ZJ after that. they changed all of them to discs in 95, limiteds got them in 94.
