93 gc crank pos. sensor 5.2l
I have a 93 Grand Cherokee and I changed the tranny yesterday. As I was putting the new tranny back in I slid up the flywheel and broke my crankshaft positioning sensor. I said several profanities and in my haste decided I could probably change it from the top of motor once done underneath. I now have tried to reach the bolts to change the sensor from the top and ITS TIGHT!! Is there a correct procedure and does it say I again have to remove trans. to fix? I'm gonna try to remove trans. mount tommorrow and jack up the tranny to create more room by the fire wall. If anybody knows the "has-to-bee's"? Please let me know. Thanks in advance. Bamm!!

I changed mine from above...PITMFA.
After removing the a/c lines and using a long extension, then a swivel, then another long extension. I wore the skin off my knuckles and it took 20 minutes to remove the old one and about two hours to install the new one! Best of luck. Any chance you have a buddy with small hands or a G/F that likes to get her hands dirty?
