93-95 rads different than 96-98?

Got one of each here. Fittings are different but asides from that is one better than the other? Like would the 98 cool better than the 94?

Curiosity on this is kickin in. I will buy a new one but just want to know

Cheers

One will not cool better than the other. Chrysler did change the transmission cooler line fitting sizes during one of the later models. The bottom fitting on my '98 is a 3/8" press on hose, whereas earlier ZJ incarnations used a screw-on fitting. The top fitting changed too.

They cool the same. I have a new all aluminum radiator in storage for the 5.2 if anyone is interested.

FYI, Autopartsway.ca has the metal-tank 2-core and 3-core ZJ rads for $101 and $103 respectively, and there's a coupon code in the website for 8% off that basically makes shipping free. I ordered one yesterday since my rad is literally falling apart and temps are starting to get high.

I got the cheapest one Rockauto had for a temporary fix until I could afford a better one. That was over a year ago. Darn thing has worked great.

I did the same thing. Except I went to Napa and got their cheapest, as my old radiator was pissing coolant all over the place. That was three years ago...
