93-94 Mopar Performance Ecu

Anyone know where to find a 93-94 zj 5.2 Mopar performance ecu? I've been searching Craigslist all over the U.S. And eBay with no luck.

I have seen some for a 92-93 Durango, are they compatible?

Thanks

Don't think that generation of durango is compatible. The OBD2 ones are but I don't think the same is true for obd1.

They're hard to find, maybe Kolak has a line on one, but I doubt it.

Good luck. They have been out of production for a long time. You might be able to send yours off for reprogramming but I don't know of any companies off hand that do it for OBD1

Dodge didn't make the Durango in 92-93. It wasn't built until 98, so no it won't be compatible.

Dakota is what I meant.

Nick at kolak didn't have anything

I know the Mopar ecu removes the rev limiter is there any other way to remove it? I race my jeep off-road, Im losing to a friend of mine, our jeeps are identical only he has a Mopar ecu and a 5.9 throttle body? We run them in 4 Lo due to the small short track, where he gets me is on the straight away, I hit the rev limiter and he passes on by.

Unfortunately for OBD1 pcm's you're SOL.

5.9 has the same throttle body as the 5.2 afaik.

Yes a 96+ has no egr, but thats the intake not the throttle body.

I'm assuming if they're race jeeps they blocked off egr.

My motor is basically stock, I just swapped it in after having a 4.0 in it.

I wonder how well it would do with 4.10 gears and run it in 4 high? Then some intake and exhaust work?

4.10's seems undergeared. Timo is running 4.56's in his niner on 32's. Regearing would be an improvement off the line, how big are the tires?

Use this: http://www.4lo.com/4LoCalc.htm

Figure out your top speed and the RPM you want it to be at, decide if that is in OD or not and then try and gear accordingly. Depending on your racing style and tire size you should be able to run much deeper than stock gears and get a lot more pep out of it.

For example, if you're running 31's with 3.55's in 3rd gear 4hi that puts 4k rpm at about 99MPH. If you change it out to 4.10's you're down to 90mph but much more torque going to the tires.

4.56's would give you a top speed in 3rd of 80mph, 4.88's and that drops down to 75mph.

Not sure on your race style but for small tracks I can imagine not being able to get a ZJ above 70mph, so having 4.88's even on 31's would give you a lot more power where you want it.
