did you read any of the thread? there were only 1600 made in total over two years. nothing else comes close to that rarity.
even the niner had over 16000 made.


'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.

I found a 5 speed zj with the red interior, a 231, and a stock tire carrier in the junkyard a few years back. Still regret not pulling the pedals at the least, for future fun.

-1993 Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 5.2, Mopar CAI, Borla headers, Borla Y-pipe, Turn down exhaust, 4" RC SA, 33x12.50r15 BfGoodrich Km2, Crown extended brake lines, IRO Double Shear Track bar, IRO HD tie rod, Home made Quick discos, E-fan, Heavy duty harness/9007 bulb conversion, HP30 WJ knuckles lockrite solid cover.

I did the swap from a totaled hunter green 94 ZJ, and put it in my 95. Not original, but same color, same trim, almost the same year. It's close to looking stock, except I used a 96+ center console.

1995 ZJ Laredo 4.0 - 5 Speed swap and 4x4 conversion, JKS KOR conversion and durometer bushings, Bilstein 5100s, fixed LCAs

DD - Stock 99 WJ 4.7 QD with flo 40

Yes I read the rest of the thread.

I just read it again and I don't see anywhere it says anything about how many 93's were built in 92 or anything like that. What I was getting at is this must be one of the first 5 speeds to come off the line.

I had a black 9/2/1992 built '93 model year Laredo, V8, every friggin option of a limited except: ATC, leather, fogs, overhead console (mine had a sunroof). Had everything else...tow pkg, 3.73's, cooler, heated power mirrors, power windows, power locks, auto headlights, rear defrost, VIC, keyless entry, alarm, locking fuel door, power antenna........and............the crimson red interior. I have only seen one other V8 with this interior, and one other black laredo w red interior but it was a 6/auto. The crimson is a '93 only color btw. Seen two 5 speed crimson interior's for sale over the years, one was a absolute base SE......canadian model. Thats a rare bird.
As far as builds, mine was sept 2, friend has a late may '92 SE with 231/AW4. On JU some guys had limiteds from Jan/Feb '92 builds, prototypes were built in at least sept/oct '91. I had crimson interior parts dating back to late 1991 in mine.

'93 ZJ SE/Base Model/Sport/5.9 LTD clone.
Both built 5.9's have been sold & now rolled.
