What said. When I look at my motor mounts all of the rubber has cracked with a bunch of it missing.

where do you hear it the most at the bottom of the engine or the top of the engine? or is in your supension you hear the ticking or clicking sound? interesting about the shaking of your engine stopped, probably because of your shocks and or coils were gone and that high of a lift meant you got some new bushings with your new control arms and track bar etc? probably why no more shake when on the gas.

I would highly suggest looking in the balancer. Even though it may look OK visually, the plastic / rubber piece that holds the outside counterweight, to the inside weight can deteriate and thus slip. I don't know if the 5.9s use a viscous fluid damper, or not...

Other items to check for is a miss, could be a plug wire, a rotor, a cap, etc.

It could also be an injector.

are there any codes?
