So I happened to see a 5.9 sitting at a lot the other day. It's in ROUGH shape. Stains and caked from leaking axles, chips and dents spray painted over which doesn't match and left overspray on windows (which I know can be razor bladed off). Head and fog lights hanging on. @169k miles, asking $4700, I said no fawkin way, $2200 it's in horrible condition. They called back today with $3600. I don't need another jeep (have 5 on going projects already) but the thing is I had bought this thing when it was 3 years old with 33k on the odometer and put it to 75k through 2 years of highschool, 3 years in the Marines and lots of hot rodding like any 19 year old Marine with a 14 second SUV would do. So do I just walk or should I keep low balling from the nasty condition and hope he caves so I get my beloved 5.9 back?
in my opinion it depends upon how much YOU really want it back, if it means that much to you I would say it is priceless but I would still lowball the piss out of them lol! but its really only a decision you can make. good luck
98 4.0 4" zone coils, IRO front double shear tb, IRO rear tb, JKS discos, crager v-5s, steering gear brace, Rustys fuel tank skid. I need $$ my jeep eats it all.
I see nothing but heartbreak and disappointment in it for you. I vote for forgetting about this one and buying that hasn't been destroyed.

Yeah $2500 would be my highest... I've lived without for 9 years now but I always kicked myself in the *** for trading it in on $30k rubicon back in 05... will probably just leave it be and drop a note on the windshield to keep bugging him till he drops down.
