4L or 3.1D

Hi, Love the new G.Cherokee but can't decide what to buy
Have about 20k to spend and are considering between a 4L Petrol and a 3.1D. Both used.

My concerns are...
Petrol consumption on the 4L
Smoothness in the Diesel.

Any advice would be welcomed.

PS: Is the Diesel Turbocharged?

i can tell you fuel comsumption is the low point of the 4L. i only get about 15 m/g in the city and probably 19 on the highway. don't know that in km/l but i think you get the idea.

i don't know anything about the dielsel as we don't have those over here. good luck with your search.

Which engine

If it were available in the US I would go with the deisel. For increased low end torque and better fuel economy and range per tank full. Fuel prices will only go higher!
