4.0 ZJ down pipe

Hey guys I have a question?
I found out I have a crack in my downpipe by the hanger near the transmission. I have already replaced the pipe twice. My question is. Is there a way to keep the pipe from cracking and keep it up from the transmission crossmember? thanks
