4.0 Way TOO SLOW!!!

Hi guys, im sort of new to the 4.0 jeep engines, i just wanted to to know what kind of preformance upgrades were out there and are worth getting cuz this truck is a ****ing slug!!! i mean it cant get out of the way of it self, where talkin like 0-60 in like 11 seconds , I know its not saposta be a ferrari but Ive driven vans that were qwicker. I just got a k&n fpti kit and i only noticed that it made a cool sound when i accelerated, definitly not worth the 150.00 i paid 4 it. anyone know where to by a superchager and or chip... something that i can add to get some noticable gains, i have checked summit and realy dident find much. Please help me find some go fast goodies before i do somthig drastic like a 5.9 engine swap! ....I'm not kidding, I hope someone in here can help me change my mind about this engine before i strap a chain 2 it and use it as an anchor for my boat, thanks guys...... Hey dose the full time all wheel drive have somthing to do with its turtle like acceleration?

No, the full time isn't to blame.

Search for 4.7L or 4.9L Stroker engine...you can make some sick power out of the engine with some part swapping from older engines to increase the displacement.

If you just had money to blow, stroke the 4.0L out to at least a 4.7L with some lite-weight reinforced pistons, bolt a KenneBell supercharger on it, new header and exhaust all the way back. Replace the mechanical fan with an electric one out of a Ford Taurus, regear the rear end and than it will get up and move for ya.

Even a Jeep with a 360 is slow. Its a Jeep, not a Ferrari.

If you don't like it, sell it.

Go buy a fast car and quit complaining.

11 seconds isn't that bad, I've had and driven far worse.
